I am married with children and I have a dog that brings a whole new meaning to the word “Velcro”. Bloody hell, he does not believe in personal space! I have always enjoyed being physical activity and being able to do what ever I feel like at any moment. As I am getting older I have learned to recognize the importance of not just being active, but being smarter with my choices, staying consistent and taking the time to recovery in order to maintain a healthy and functional lifestyle.
After graduating from George Brown College with a diploma from the Fitness and Lifestyle Management Program in 2004, I started my professional, sixteen year career at The Cambridge Club, Toronto. I was surrounded by the greatest trainers in the city who made me laugh, learn and enjoy the job day in and out. I left the club knowing that anyone can become a personal trainer and that being a reliable friend is what sets you apart. That and being able to train anyone at a moments notice, regardless of their current health. Honestly, I enjoy the variety of clients that I train and their personal goals that I see everyday. I have had the pleasure of training and preparing clients who wanted to cycle across America and then Israel. Clients that wanted to run their first or fifth marathon. Clients who are learning to navigate time restraints, ageing or disease’s such as Rheumatoid and Psoriatic Arthritis or Parkinson’s.
Whether I am training with someone new or a client that has been with me for over 10 years, it all starts the same. I want the environment to feel safe. This is your time, not mine. Every session has an objective with your specific goals in mind. Let’s be honest, life isn’t perfect, which means that there will always be room to adapt and adjust to any health changes and physical limitations. Finally, there is so much information out there that it can literally stop any one from beginning their health journey. I am here to help you get started, stay focused and above all else, turn physical activity into an attainable and realistic lifestyle.
